New Patient Portal, MyBronxCare, Nears Launch Date

This coming June, MyBronxCare, Bronx Lebanon’s new online service will offer patients the unique opportunity to always have access to their health information.

With MyBronxCare, patients can contact a Doctor or make an appointment, as well as view medical information, lab or test results, and even refill prescriptions.

The information provided is safe, secure, and completely confidential. Only the patient and their doctor or health care provider can see it. Patients can immediately take advantage of the benefits My BronxCare offers by signing up for it, on line. In the coming weeks we'll have more details here. The process is easy and involves just a few clicks on a computer.

New Neurosurgery Service Brings Advanced Proceedures to Bronx-Lebanon


Bronx-Lebanon’s newly established Neurosurgery Service is now bringing advanced and complex brain and spine surgery procedures to patients.

Its highly skilled and broad-certified surgeons, under the direction of Dr. Narayan Sundaresan, Chief, Neurosurgery, are responding to trauma related injuries and strokes, as well as addressing tumors and back pain, among other problems.

In addition to Dr. Sundaresan, the neurosurgery team includes Dr. Jose Torres-Gluck, a specialist in spine surgery and Dr. Ramesh Babu, a specialist in skull based tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and aneurism surgery.

The medical team is also supported by highly trained physican assistants, nurses, and administrative staff.

Neurosurgery services are now offered at the inpatient, outpatient and ER levels, and at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Third Avenue and Ambulatory Care Network outpatient practice.		 Neurosurgery

Bronx-Lebanon Receives Full Joint Commission Accreditation
In June 2011, Bronx-Lebanon received official notification of its full Joint Commission accreditation. This notification followed a five-day unannounced survey and comprehensive review of the hospital and its outpatient practices in May.

The Joint Commission survey team, which consisted of experienced physicians, nurses, healthcare administrators, and engineers, commended Bronx-Lebanon for the excellent care it provides to the community...
